Here are pictures of quilt I did for 10 year old friend of my daughter.

Mom is non-quilter and when she was at LQS they told her to call me before she bought this minkee at $18.00/yard to make sure I was okay sewing on it. She didn't call. What a mess this stuff is.

Rose Maynes did fabulous job of LAQ with dog bones. Mom wanted white ruffle added and though I was hesitant at first, it came out nice. I charged them $20 for my labor but as we all know, we don't help others for the money!

Girl that received this LOVED it. Doubt mom will do another quilt as this one was quite spendy!
Thanks Rose for your wonderful LAQ. Dianna

That's cute. I agree about minkee. I bought alittle kit for a baby quilt that used it and did not like working with it at all!

I have never worked with minkee. I heard it was soft and cuddly but didn't realize it was hard to work with. Thanks for the warning.

it's not so much about being hard to work with but messy. Just trimming edges had to get vacumn out. Was helpful to use serger around the edges before applying the ruffle though.

Thank you Dianna, I'm so glad the 10 year old likes her quilt. Happy to see it all done and posted.
