My daughter Lauren wanted to make a quilt for her buddy Mary, who is like a third kid here! I'm thinking of claiming her on my taxes! LOL!

Lauren picked out all the fabrics and designed the quilt. She also tied it!Mary loved it! Unfortunately is was given at a birthday party with 20 other 14-year-old girls. Only 19 more to make...

    I'm learning applique!

SO, has Lauren started sewing quilts now too?

This is a great gift for a 14 year old. You and your daughter must be having a great time making these projects.

Lauren is afraid of the sewing machine Yvonne! My 16-year-old son has sewn on it, but she won't touch it! I offered to give her my old Singer, but I think she's prefers the design side!

Loretta, I appliqued the square/top before I sandwiched. I was terrified to sew through that Minkee! I really didn't like working with it. Slippery stuff! LOL!
