Miss Ella's Quilt
#1
I had promised a dear friend a quilt for their new baby that was due to arrive in late March. My plan was to start it in February and not be rushed. Well, that didn't quite work out. In late January I had an accident and broke my ankle. I was laying flat on my back with my foot in the air for more than eight weeks. It was horrible. And I could not sew because I could not lower my foot without pain. The Baby that was expected in late March came in early March. This was the first time that I did not have a quilt finished before the baby's arrival. On the the 8th week I was finally able to sit at the sewing machine and rush to get it made before I had to return to work. The quilt has been delivered and they love it. This is my finished product. I love it. I hope you do as well.

I'm glad to hear you've recuperated. It must have been hard for you to be laid up that long. You did a great job on the quilt. Love the colors. In view of the circumstances I'm sure your friends didn't mind that the quilt was a little late.

So sorry to hear about your ankle. Hopefully you are back to doing everything soon. Your baby quilt is absolutely lovely. The colors are perfect for a new little baby girl. It looks so comfy for her. Great job.
