    I love your Singer. Miss Penny is a winner. I have never tried sewing on a hand crank. I bet it is fun to work.

    She's a beauty! I have Grandma's old Singer and it's in a gorgeous cabinet but I don't use her. Do wish there was an area in my house where "Margaret", named after Grandma, could be displayed.

    I am a Penny too, and just had a friend put a 201 in the trunk of my car!! I didn't even know what it was until I got home....what a wonderful surprise to find this beautiful machine - a bit dirty, but that was easy! She really sews a lovely stitch, you just can't beat the old machines for reliability and good mechanics!

    I have a Singer that is hand crank. How do you know what model it is. I only find a serial number. Mine looks a little smaller and no lid for the tool area.
