I can't believe someone took this. It's gorgeous though and I hope you find it!

So sorry that you lost such a beautiful quilt. I have that pattern but haven't found the fabric I like I love the colors you used. Sometimes the pictures aren't the true colors, so would you tell me the colors that you used?

So sorry for your loss, it had become a part of you and to lose it is sad. Maybe somewhere out there someone will discover it for you.

I sure wish I had it back because I cannot recreate it.

I used dark "cool" browns and very pale aquas -NOT turquoise, but aqua (more green). I used a few different fabrics - all batiks of course. The only ones you could probably find these days would be the fabrics with the dots. The others were Island batiks and have not been reprinted. It's a really easy, fun pattern! You can have tons of fun with the colors - I reallly liked how mine turned out. I kind of did the opposite of what most people do and made mine with a dark background and light color focus fabric - most people go light background and dark focus fabrics. Good luck!

It is a beautiful quilt, Roberta, and I hope it turns back up in your hands some day.

This really makes you wonder about the thought process of whoever took it. What were they thinking? They can't show it to anyone who is remotely interested in quilts, because that person may know that it has been stolen. It's like thieves that steal famous works of art - idiots because they can't sell it or show it to anyone to impress them.

Wow, that really stinks. Amazing what people steal.

Thank you so much Bobbi for the colors that you used. The pictures look brown and gray or light blue. I like your idea of using a dark background. Oh my, now to the QS.:)
