If the guests at the fundraiser are not quilters, you might want to set a minimum bid. I made a wall hanging for my church's preschool fundraiser, with a minimum bid of 10% its value ($20), and no-one bid even that much! I have also seen people go around and write $1 on every page at a silent auction, just in case no-one else bids!
