I gave a child quilt away but left a straight pin sewn in. Don't even know how the pin got between the layers, I sure did it. The mom had to bring the quilt back so I could take a seam apart, remove the pin and then resew! It was a little embarrassing. I've also been stingy with fabric at times, and have used a few selvages!

Thanks for posting, everyone, it's fun to read the silliness!

All I see is creative license. Keep creating.

I had to scrutinize to finally find the "mistake." Why are we all so hard on ourselves? If we all had quit over our "errors" there'd be no quilts, except antiques. Ease up and call it creative license.

Sewing Bloopers! Too funny. I think we should start a new category! I love the pin blooper.

Oooop! I've sewn fabric in, wrong-side up. Sometimes I'll fix that but mostly I leave it.

There are just too many to list. One that probably frosts me more than any is when you think you have enough fabric for a quilt and you don't. Sometimes it works out that you can get more and also found I couldn't find any more.
