Default Mistral Horse by Toni Whitney

This is a design by Toni Whitney it is called "Mistral Horse", Toni lives in Montana, it is for a friend Ann who has a riding school in northern Victoria here in Australia and has a great love of horses.

It is raw edge applique but I did a small blanket stitch by machine around all the edges.

I bought the pattern and not the kit so the colours are a little different from the original, this is my first attempt at applique and was a little challenging to say the least.

This quilt will be very hard to part with as I just love the way it has turned out, I do hope Ann likes it.

I understand your love of a first applique you have done looking so beautiful. Looks like you need to do a second applique for yourself or for friend.

We make ourselves work by loving our own work.
