PS: Forgot to ask: When you do those long straight quilting lines mixed in with the circles, do you quilt the long lines first or the circles first or as you are doing the lines, do you do the circles as you come to them?

PSS: I would love to come to your house and be a bug on the wall so I could watch and learn how you think and do your quilting. Your work is always so well done and appropriate to the quilt.
    Hi KLO,
Thank you so much for your kindness.
I actually quilted the circles as I came to them while doing the lines. It just works best that way for me. But any way you do it is fine. I assure you if you were a bug on my wall it would be boring...but if you could be one of the zaps in my brain ...it might be more enjoyable. LOL I am usually pretty quiet..but my brain is going all of the time.

It can be used for either. I tend to use them as quilts just because I have 6 kids. Anything on the table gets stained. I would venture to say when they leave home I might use them...but somehow I think with 6 kids I will never be alone....or without dinner guests. I am sure I will have grandkids sooner or later.

Thank you everyone! I appreciate the compliments. We all get inspiration from each other...that's the beautiful thing about the QB. Have a blessed day!

I found this one last summer at my church yard sale....YAY! I added fabrics from my stash....and made it into this quilt.

I love that I found so many modern fabrics in my stash that compliment this decades old tablecloth. So this project cost me time & 50 cents. Everything else came from my stash.

I quilted it last night. Simple designs to match the whole modern theme. It did need some extra stabilizer on the back tablecloth. It wasn't perfectly square...and due to the weave of the fabric I wasn't going to be able to make it completely square. So I just worked it in best I could. That's kind of the bugger of working with vintage items...but I love the finish. As soon as I wash it it will drape properly and be used.
As always, you have turned out a work of art! Absolutely love seeing the pictures of your work.

Love the Quilting you did on this Tablecloth Quilt... Nice to see some quilting stitching other than the meandering all over Loops that are on so many quilts today... Great Job and Glad you made it to use...

Lovely May-December marriage of the old and new. I think your new quilt is perfect and your quilting is such a wonderful compliment. I especially appreciate the love that goes into saving old pieces of linen.
