The smile on their faces says it all...well done SuzzyQ! Your students did fabulous jobs on their projects.
The girl in the pink t-shirt looks like she is wearing a quilt poncho. I am curious as to what her project is...decorative art? Thanks for sharing the great photo!

Sometimes our skills and enthusiasm live beyond us in the lives of others. Teaching them to enjoy expressions of themselves in usable skills is that opportunity. Your 4-H project is special for this time of life and you do not know where that spark will take them. I think 4-H is one of the best kid education projects ever invented. I am glad you enjoyed doing this.

They look so proud! That feeling will carry over to other areas of their lives and I'm so glad that you're doing this.

That girl is my DGD and she want's to make a bed runner/shawl. She's been sewing with me for about two years so she spent the week merrily sewing away, picking out strips, cutting, arranging. I figure she's got another 4 stripsets to make. Right now she's on holidays but she's coming back for "Grammy Camp" round 2 when she gets back. I'm taking her to my two days of quilting - wonder what the other quilter will think of this 10 year old?
