    the reason she decided on the half plates is because she messed up some blocks and they didn't lie flat. She then started over again and they were flat. She had just the right amount of messed up ones to cut in half and when she did that the halves lied flat. Mistakes cause some beautiful quilts!

    I absolutley love Dresdens, but I especially like those half Dresdens around the edges. Beautiful soft colors. A treasure.

    Dresdan Plate is one of my DD's favorite quilts. She and I both think is is beautiful. Kudos to your mom.

    WOw, your mom did a fantastic job. Who'd EVER believe she'd goofed and made her own design. AND, to think that she's only been quilting 10 years....SO INSPIRING:) Thank you so much:)

    Beautiful!!!! I'm working on a Dresden Plate now. I hope mine turns out as pretty as this one. I love the 1/2 ones and the sashing.
