Love the wild life pics. Just yesterday I had a doe and her little twins (still with spots) in my backyard. Such beautiful creatures!

I'm glad you had a truck between you and the Mama moose. Mama's can be so dangerous when protecting their babies. Growing up Alaska I learned to have a healthy respect for moose. But what a great experience you had!

Great pictures! I think that they should use those pictures to make a puzzle. :) It would be fun putting it together.

we think they were actually triplets from last year. our neighbor to the north spotted 3 new babies with a momma and he got pretyy close on foot. Kinda dumb because he could never have out run her if she decided to take him. We had the pickup between us and her. I have another one where she is licking on the windshield on the drivers side and my dh hands on the wheel. he could have reached out and petted her neck, she was that close. I know that moose are wild and NEVER did I expect her to come up to us like this. Like I told the lady at the newspaper It was a once in a lifetime experience. Probably never see another one like it. She looked like she had been in a fight with her ear drooping and some marks on her face. We have mountain lions in the area and also reports of wolves. she could have lost a calf to one of them.

this was taken as she came up to the truck

here she is snuffling on the windshield
