Sometimes I like to play around with just making blocks - maybe new patterns, new colors, whatever. I keep these completed blocks in pizza boxes (new boxes!) sorted kind of by color. The cardboard is better than a plastic tub because of the moisture on the fabric from handling it. Then, if I need to make a quick gift I can grab a couple and make a tote bag, a small purse, placemats, etc. Folks are so happy to get a handmade item and I am basically using up my experiments - win-win.

I too, like to try new patterns... to find if I would like to do a whole quilt with them, I try to do a new pattern in all my quilts...never doing the same one twice. I like your choice of blocks so far.

Are you doing like a sampler as they are all the same size finish square?

Nice blocks - fun to just try some things on, once in a while.
