Default More Autumn Splendor - Placemats & Napkins

I just completed the placemats & napkins to match http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...o-t256188.html quilt. Recently someone posted a link to a self binding napkin tutorial. They were perfect for this design. Easy, too. I used the leftover rectangles from the quilt to make binding. Why do the diagonal seams in binding always end up in the corners? Still have the runner to quilt and finish. The rug design is coming together.

Very pretty! I always walk my binding around the edges before sewing to avoid seams in the corners.

So do I, but with this binding at least one seam fell in a corner due to the length of the strips.
