Default More Diamonds ... light and dark

Last week I posted a string diamond quilt, no rhyme nor reason to the color placement. I like this one so much better. That one was the first one I did using used dryer sheets.

Was out of the lightweight Pellon I used to use, I figured I would use new dryer sheets, because I am a Want to do it now kinda gal! No time to wait to get them out of the finished laundry.

Oops, a trial at the ironing board showed new ones couldn't be used, the softener on the sheet was sticky, so sent 48 of them through the quick wash with soap and rinse cycle and then dried them. Took maybe than 3 or 4 minutes to dry. Perfect. Figuring the cheapest dryer sheets (From the big box W store, $2.50 a box for 250 sheets, same size as the brand name), it ended up being cheaper than buying the Pellon or lightweight muslin.

    Thanks for looking. .

You have such good ideas about using scraps. This is another good one.
