I just thought this up myself, no classes. I have written a tute on the bottom of page one.

I have thought of hiring out to create patterns, if anyone is interested they can PM me.

Are the edges left raw edge or does the fusing take care of ravels?

If anyone has issues with what I have written in the tute, please feel free to ask questions and I will try to explain more clearly.

Would it help if I took photos along each step? I have no more quilts to make this year, but could do a photo of something else to show the technique. If I do this, I would probably post it in the Tutorial section. When I first started this thread I just wanted to share a completed project and hadn't planned to do a tute.

I just leave all the edges raw, since it is a wall hanging, it doesn't get much wear, so the fusing takes care of it.

I have found it is better to use a heavy fusible, and to test the fabric before doing anything to see how easily it unravels. The red quilt needed to be trimmed even after it was pressed onto the background, I think becuase it was a lower thread count fabric (remember, I am cheap).

These are definitely OOAK!!!!! Love how there are certain areas accentuated by additional blackness; and the scrolled up diplomas; Priceless! Do put your name on the fronts. You deserve it.
