    Thanks, #1, for more eye candy. I remember my mom made a quilt like the first picture when we lived at Wilton. She called it Dutch Girl. (BTW, I graduated high school at Ashdown, before the old 2 story building burned down.)

    Love the flower applique with the checkerboard around the blocks. I noticed each applique and checkerboard are coordinated, which I have never seen before. I am filing this technique away in my mind and hope I can retrieve it when I want to do something different. Love the affect. I am an appliquer and always looking for different ways to show it off.
