I posted a picture earlier of the quilt I am designing for my daughter. It wasn't finished, (hence the black square in the middle). I've been working on the center square design and finally got it! Here's the pics! To see the Menger Sponge, check out this link! http://www.pure-mirage.com/html/Opti...%20Sponges.htm
Be sure to scroll all the way down and click play! It's very cool!

The whole quilt design (minus the center square)

The design for the center square, not quite finished. The "floor" will be a mirror image of the "walls" of the hole.

I am so very confused, but it is late and I'm going to blame it on that:) Will you be posting more pictures as the quilt progresses? Hope so!

Wow, now that's way better than just adding the attic window in the center square like I suggested in the other thread - I wasn't aware that you hadn't finished the design yet. Simply amazing! Though, I wouldn't want to be the one to sew this. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.

I don't think the sewing will be as difficult as designing it! It took a long time for me to get the angles right on those black "holes" on the inside of the center block. I'm going to paper piece the center blocks. The rest is just small squares sewn together. Time consuming, but not too hard.

Interesting! I will be looking forward to seeing it when it is finished. Is your daughter interested in mathematical/computer things? :-D
