Beautiful work. I, too, would like to know what you use for the padding... some kind of batting... maybe the cotton???

I use Polyfil traditional batting by Fairfield. I experimented with lots of differant ones when I first started and this is what my buyer and I decided on. I use two layers of it. It is a dense batting and it is easy to work with. You can stretch it a bit if needed when I cut too short. I don't stretch it much because that would weaken it too much but a little to make sure it gets included in the seam is ok.
I don't care for the cotton and as I am selling my stuff I don't feel the need to buy the more expensive heat resistannt batting. I have sold hundreds of them over 15 yrs and noone has complained. I have used them too and not had any problem with getting burned.

Thanks K! I wanted to answer a comment about buying my stuff but I didn't want to come across wrong. There are always those who find fault and I wanted to be clear about why I made my comment about my business. I appreciate your support my friend!!

How are the kids doing? Busy I am sure!! They grow up so fast!! How old are they now?

I really love the dark in the middle of that block best with light on the outer edges! The block looks great done in the smaller sizes ;-) I think!! I am looking forward to playing around with this block when I get a chance ;-) ! Wow, you could've fooled me. It sure looked like it had been HQed and ITD makes it really pop too! Can't wait to try that too! :-D :-D
LOL I just had to tease you abit! I know you do beautiful work!! Not many do the deep contrast I love. I am obsessive! LOL I am working on branching out into brighter colorways but after 15 yrs of doing everything in Amish style habits die hard. I won't ever stop doing the deep contrast tho because I like the look. I do need to try other things more tho.

Hi Rhonda - brief controlled digression, sorry everyone! Kids are fine, aged 8 and nearly 6 now. We're pretty busy because we're moving to England in a couple of weeks, so packing like mad with a little PPing now and then for light relief! LOL

OK, back to Rhonda's lovely minis... :-D
