More Quilts I have made
#41
Tula, The original pattern can be found at ShabbyFabric.com, but it was so expensive I drew my own rabbits and made my own version. I hope this isn't breaking any copyright laws! I make many of my quilts just from looking at the advertisements, but I have also spent much money on patterns and am addicted to magazines. Especially Australian Patchwork and Quilting.

Raw edge applique is just what you thought, You can zig-zag or use decorative stitches around the edges. I use med. weight Heat n Bond to adhere to background fabric, than stitch around the edges, and then usually do free motion quilting to define the details around the legs, eyes, whatever. Give it a try on a table runner or something, I think you will really enjoy it, especially if you are one for instant gratification such as I am.

Thank you so much. The Oklahoma quilt was a block of the month from Oklahoma Quiltworks in OKC. I don't know if they still have the pattern, they probably do.
The Baltimore Rabbit quilt I drew myself.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. You may have been able to see the pins in some of the pieces as this is a WIP. I keep adding to it. I have it hanging on my dining room wall and every once in a while I decide it needs something else. I just stitched down the cat and am still working on flowers hanging over the fence at the top. Just can't find exactly what I want.
