I've made a few raggy quilts with jeans, but never thought of doing a log cabin. Did you do any thing different from using cotton? Were your seams 1/4"? Were you careful to cut on the grain? I have about 1000 pairs in the attic and some assorted colors. Ok that's definetly on the list for after Christmas.

These quilts are so nice! I had not thought of making a rag quilt with the old jeans.
    Love your kitty cat!

Thanks for the tip on larger seams for denim. I have never done a denim quilt. Yours is great!

What should the seam width be for denim?

I love this thread! I have been saving a huge laundry basket full of my old jeans to "someday make a quilt". I'm not too in love with rag quilts, but these are great!! I really like the circle one on the first page - I was wondering though - does anyone know how the connecting seams hold up?

The Log Cabin is beautiful! Any tips on making it? Like everyone else here, I have been saving up my husbands old jeans. He wants me to use them to make a bed for the dog!
