Thank you for the compliment! If you read my long post on page 2, it will explain what I've done. :) It's applique.

Love them both. I think I will make a mini like that with the scraps of each quilt that I have going.

Now the second one is delightful. A great idea.

OK I understand it's applique wit just a reg straight stitch around each piece...But as I look at it you have depth between each piece...How did you get that? It looks like each piece puffs out and the lines inbetween are sunken in...Again reminds me so much of tile work and grout lines.
