Congratulations...sewing is a new "language" for you both!! Just lovely to see her with the quilt and showing such pride. Makes me teary-eyed. So glad she found a new way to connect with you. :-)

I love the quilt and your story is just heartwarming. I have been a special ed teacher for many years, and have developed a close relationship with my two favorite young ladies who are autistic over a 28 year span. It has been fun to help them to unleash the special skills that they have inside of them.
