    Default Mother in law quilt

Over the years my mother in law has given my family and me a few older 40 pound quilts. I swear every 5 years or so they just added another layer to the outside and it got heavier and heavier. I love the old heavy quilts and this past year she downsized again and moved into a much smaller house. She found a couple more 40 pound quilts to give to my daughters, so I made her a new quilt to enjoy in her new home....with a matching pillow. It's a quilt I started this past summer...I took a periwinkle class at Missouri Star Quilt Co. A class with Jenny was a fun thing to do, but this quilt isn't that difficult to do on your own. I stitched along the ditch to sandwich all layers together.

Very nicely done. I love the colors and the contrast with blue.

WOW! I wish I were not systemically incapable of using bold colors! Love it!

The quilt is beautiful! I love Jenny Doan and have watched a lot of her tutorials. I'll have to look for this one. You did a great job with beautiful colors!
