This one is nice, it is a d9p but this gives you a setting idea.

Yup! I agree. Put plain block between, in a checkerboard pattern or whatever, and you'll finish fast!

I was just thinking the same thing, white sash would look good and you would need less blocks for a queen
I agree! The white sash would really look great!

I agree with Bluegrassgurl....a sashing might just do the trick for you!

Thank you everyone! You all have put some fine ideas out there for me to think about. Luckylindy, I didnt think that was mean. I post on here to get opinions and suggestions :) and its ok. I think my problem is, is that I dont like the pattern lol...The colors I like...and I got these cakes blindly without any patterns in mind.

I have never done sashing around individual blocks before. I will have to think about how to do that...And I have never done on point before, but am willing to try. I didnt think about taking blocks out colors (such as the yellow as quilter1430 suggested), now that is an idea too!

Wow, I will work on it again today. Thanks you all so much for your input!
    :)

I bought two packs of the 5" and one 10" cakes. I started the four patch out with the 5" squares and decided I wanted to make it bigger so I cut the 10"s down to the 5"sizes. Now I have so many that I am getting bored and just not liking this anymore hahaha. This thing could be huge if I wanted it to be. But I think I will be making it into a queen...If I can only get motivated.........

    HELPPPPP!!!!
EDIT: Okay, everyone....how is this sashing? I have no idea how to add it, but this is what I have come up with. Nothing is sewed together yet......

    with blue sashing
