    thanks for showing us those marvellous quilts. I think we are entering in a different type of art. The thread is the star now, not anymore the piecing and its shapes and colours.

    Love the one with the elephants in two dimensions. I think I just added another project. By any chance. Did you take a close up picture of it?

    MQX Is Machine quilters exposition so it is all machine quilting no hand. But not all longarm, many quilts were done on DSM and quite a few didn't specify what machine they used to quilt. It is going on right now in Providence Rhode Island. They do a west coast one as well, I think it is in October. If you google MQX the website will come up.

    Unfortunately I did not, you lost the elephant entirely with close up. It looked to be about 1/2" strips of bias stitched down on both sides. Done much like stained glass quilts but with much wider bias tape.

    Wow! those are all gorgeous!! I've been quilting about 20 yrs or more but am still learning and improving. i have a long, long way to go to be able to quilt that well. whew!

    Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!! I rarely get to do these shows any more, it helps so mcu to see them through your eyes. :lol:

    Remarkable. I can't imagine the talent it takes to make one of those masterpieces. I really appreciate you taking the photos and sharing them with us.

    My favorite was also the elephant - gorgeous!
