Mrs Farmer Sampler

This is Snowflake Melt and it's a Dear Jane block. I was able to print out part of it in pp and part in template. Dear Jane is a stand alone program as well and you can print all the DJ blocks any size you want.
Most of her blocks are not in bb. I think she made up these blocks.

I have now started to build custom blocks and double blocks. By that I mean, I will use the blocks that I have and though they may not be the size of 15.5, I will make them that size by adding patches.
The double blocks are blocks that are a bit long but can't be cut, so those are also customized to fit. I have made two doubles so far and one single
To tell the truth, I am having a ball and am so excited. I guess it's because I am using found stuff. and actually cleaning up UFO's and using left over scraps. I hope this give you ideas to do something with your odd blocks.
I am using mostly plaids to keep the country look. This Mrs Farmer has a dog and a cat lol and some children.
She has 16 year old and two younger ones lol.
The tall bonnet I did some years ago and lost interest as with the small ones. I added some DJ's that were throw aways lol and plaid strips to finish her to 31 inches which is equal to two regular blocks.
The cat double block is a cat pattern I got from the quilter's cache, I add two smaller blocks also from a project I was going to do and then I added some plaid patches for on the side for the finished size. I am using all scraps from my scap table.
The single block is a block I made long ago to go with a patriotic quilt which never happened lol and two of those small wanna bee's and two of the last JD's. I filled in-between with just some odd shaped patches, that I cut wrong and now they didn't go to waste and all this made an interesting 15.5 block.
I am really loving this, well back to more custom blocks and to think, I don't think I will have to make too many blocks from scratch.
