I finished these 2 tops for Charisma a few weeks ago and they have been shipped home to her.....she sent me the fabric and asked that the fabrics stood out in large enough pieces to see the themes....the dp9p is all sports them and my son just loved it. The trip around the world is all musical themed....origionally i was going to applique a large guitar on the top but when i laid it on and stepped back i just didnt like the way it looked...so i didnt do that. I didnt use any patterns per say just made it up as i went. I have one more to make yet...and hoping to get it done this weekend. But i believe these are christmas gifts for her friends children so i have awhile yet lol.

I love how the d9p has the step like look.

How do you plan something like that? I've accumlated a bunch of 6.5" squares and am thinking about doing something along the lines of this but couldn't figure out how...I confuse easily.
