Does your pattern include templates or do you have to draw your own? I saw a pattern online yest. where you had to create your own. I'm so grateful I was given plastic templates when a friend shared her pattern with me.

I hope your pattern tells you to use "scant" 1/4" seams when you sew your strips together. If you don't, your templates may not fit top to bottom. There is no room for error on the fit. Also, do not cut off the uneven end of your strip set. You will need the space for the corners of your templates. This may sound confusing to you if you haven't read your pattern carefully but it all falls together eventually.

It's called "Crazy Eight Strip Teaser - A Table Topper". I just googled it. I got mine from sewwhat-quilting.com but saw it cheaper on other sites after I had paid for it. They also charge an extra $1.00 to process through PayPal but that's the only way I saw to pay--just didn't like the strong arm even though it was just a dollar.
Oh my gosh, that's the same shop I was talking about in Lk Havasu City, Az. That's one of the 2 quilt shops in LHC. Now I'm curious as to where she got that name for them since even she refers to them as New Orleans Puzzles. Oh well, I'm glad you found the pattern.

I'm reassured now to see this pc. called the same name as I've known them by. It amazes me how many names we've all seen them called.

They can be puzzling to make things fit but so much fun to finally get them together.

All of these are beautiful. Really like the top one for fall decorating. Just saw this first time last week. Immediately said this has to be one of my next projects. Lovely work and great color combinations.
