My "Forever Friend's" Quilt
#1
In September, my college room mate told me that her cancer had popped up again after being 2 1/2 years cancer free. The cancer had reappeared in her lung and 16 chemo treatments were prescribed.
So, while she got started with her treatments, I got started with "her" quilt hoping to get it done quickly. A trip interferred and life in general (plus a couple of holidays as well) and I finally have it done and can post a few pics.
The really good news is that the chemo has taken care of that tumor and that she doesn't even have to complete all 16 treatments.
The quilt is finally done and I'll be hand delivering it to her soon and she can enjoy it in good health. I am so thankful for that!
BTW, http://www.eaglemountainquilting.com/ did the quilting and did a wonderful job! I highly recommend them. Even with shipping, it was more reasonable than I could get locally.

The pattern is from a freebie booklet I received when subscribing to Fon's and Porter's Love of Quilting. The name of the booklet is "Quilts for the Whole Family" by Paintbrush Studio. It didn't really have a name. If you need more information, PM me.
