When you start working on them, just add a couple of the fabrics you really like, and it'll turn out super.

I also requarly shop the thrift stores and have found really great quilted items for under $5.00. It is a real treasure hunt cause you never know if this is the time you will score. I just found a beautiful white and red hand quilted lap quilt for $ 2.99.
