Default My 6 yr old's birthday gift

Giovanni turned 6 yesterday. My, oh my, how time flies.

He asked for a quilt when I made one for my hubby's retirement.

So, I decided to whip up a quilt top for him. He is a huge fan of birds of prey, so this was an easy project. I whipped it up with some of my stash. Clearly, it is nothing fancy, but he really liked it.

He looked at the pillow cover and said, "Mom, this is like a big view of North America and then you take you binoculars and look in, and you see the eagle on the tree. " LOL He is so funny!

Beautiful quilt to be treasured. I think we should have notebooks at the ready. Our children come out with such wonderful comments, we could fill that notebook
