You said every one was dang near perfect. You're wrong....LOL They are not near perfect they are absolutely perfect. Reminds me of my grandmother's work and Mama's.
Tell your mother they are beautiful. You will have a beautiful quilt or should I say quilts out of those. What a treasure. What a wonderful Mother you have.
Her basting is even amazing. Wouldn't want her to see mine. LOL

Your mothers work is beautiful and with that kind of energy at 80 after working as a nurse to the age of 70, you probably have some time to make numerous quilts from her to see from her talent and perfect piecing. Also her heart is warm and kind to care for others still. Enjoy your time finishing her creations.
P.S. Give your mom a hug from all of us who loved having a nurse like her:)

Exploiting the elderly as free labour! Aren't there laws against that???
They are lovely. My mother who is also 80 has just hung up her needle - post breast cancer pain - she just cant do it anymore.

Thats such a treasure..I wish my dear dear grandmother had sewn. I'd love to have a patchwork of hers. BUT, I do have her cedar chest that stores some of my quilts that belong to my daughter...I passed it on to her. I sure hope you post more pics when you have assembled her beautiful work...thanks for sharing..warmed my heart

Well bless her heart! These are so bright and beautiful and so precisely and wonderfully sewn. Sounds like the two of you now need to sit down together and work on the connecting pieces. What a wonderful opportunity!
