Jill, Thanks.... I miss wrote earlier.... I am going to be using the yellow for the binding... (I typed boarder in error) the dark blue calico will be the boarder... that is not showing in the picture above.

I will post pictures after I get the blue boarder on. I still have to sew on some of the lattice, and cut out the boarder yet. Maybe... maybe not... going to get that finished tonight.

Very pretty. I never worry too much about the backing, I'm using a wide backing fabric on my yellow, brown, green and yellow print quilt I'm getting ready to FMQ tomorrow. It will be given away and she can worry about it getting dirty.

I want to mak a sampler sometime soon. I think it would be nice to have a different block each time. Sometimes I get tired of making the same block over and over... I finally learned to make them in like an assembly line style and that helped! I'm in NY too. Near Rochester, had a nice trip to NYC a few months ago.

Beautiful quilt from an ex-Upstate NYer! The colors really work together. I grew up in Bainbridge, went to college in Binghamton and Potsdam, lived in Syracuse, Southfields and finally in Utica for 18 years before moving to AZ in 2004 (couldn't stand the winters anymore!).

Progress not so great tonight. LOL Ended up going out for dinner with friends... unexpectedly... I only had a chance to get the lattice on and blue boarders cut.

My charm packs came today that I ordered for a baby quilt I'm making for a friends new Granddaughter.

I'm also ironing the 27 yards of fabric I have for a bargello quilt I want to do. ( I do a little at a time.. every time I iron the pieces I just sewed to the quilt, I iron a yard or 2 of the fabric. Otherwise I'd go nuts doing all that ironing at once.)

And I'm working full time... There just is not enough hours in a day. Geesh... I had better get to bed... it's midnight.

The boarders are finally on... life got in the way. LOL

Now I have to put this aside for a bit... I can't find my quilting stencils... They got put away and I'm going to have to tear a closet apart to find them... that is.. if they are even in there. (Cross your fingers for me.)

    Anyone have any quilting ideas????

I would back it with the same color ans the sashing or use the color of your blocks background. Using a lighter color you can see the quilting better.

    Hi Lynn,

I wish I could use the colors you mentioned but I made this with my mothers stash and I don't have enough. I have a very dark blue.. (indigo) for the back and I will be machine quilting it with variegated blue thread in the bobbin. The light yellow in some of the blocks will be my binding color.

I looked a little tonight, but I still can't find my stencils for the quilting. I know as soon as I break down and buy new ones, I'll find them. ( My luck)
