This is classically pieced; assuming that "by paper" you mean paper (foundation) pieced. I'm really enjoying hand piecing - it is so relaxing. I'm a 911 operator so I'm able to work on it between calls. That is, until it time to hand quilt it. I'm making it for a double (full) bed so it'll be too big to take to work then. Thanks for all the encouragement and I'll post more pictures soon.

You're doing a great job on this! I like how the blocks pop out as 3-D. I've been handsewing a one block wonder quilt so I can really appreciate all of the work you are putting into this.

Beautiful, I hand pieced a smaller grandmothers flower garden so I know the time it takes!

Just a hint. Divide the quilt into quarters and work on a quarter of the quilt at a time at work than put it together at home. :-D

    Happy Holidays!

Very nice....I admire anyone who hand pieces. I started one about 5 years ago and managed to get 3 blocks done before I gave up!

I love the tumbling block pattern. I would not have the patience to do hand sewing like that. I adnire you.
