How precious! I have one that was given to me when pregnant with my first (now 36), by the women of a local church. It is actually a crib quilt and is all hand sewn and quilted. I tried to give to the daughters-in-law for grandchildren, but they weren't interested. Too traditional, I guess. Still holding out hope for the last son. Yours is a treasure.

That is so cute. I have made a few embroidered baby quilts for friends. One I know was used for the children of the girl I made it for. It is so great to see them used for multiple generations.

What a treasure!. Not only for you to have and to have all the memories surrounding it. I am sure your replica will also be a treasure for you as well. I think it is a very serious thing to attempt to repair a treasure of the past-it is better to enjoy it for what it is and share the stories of its past. But a replica can recall the stories of the past and the fun use of it in the future.

The embroidered baby animals have a personality of their own. So simple with the pink and blue fabrics. Enjoy making a replica of this adorable quilt. Hope your eyesight is as good as when you were a teenager. Mine isn't.
