Tim, nearly all my pets are old. Gus is only 10 and is one of the youngest. You are right, he is huge.

He is huge, but what a lover. He really is a baby.

I have two kitties, and one looks like GUs Gus, and he sounds like a real baby when he meows for attention. you could probably put his meow in a baby doll and not know the difference. :D
Know what you mean about the meow. He sounds like a baby kitten when he meows. It doesn't fit his size.

He doesn't much at all. My short hairs shed a lot more than him.

Beautiful cat.

dojo36--- My mom's cat that I inherited went through a bathroom sink period. She hated being disturbed so I could wash my hands!

I call them old cats, but they are middle aged cats, 10,8 and 5 (we think).
The 10 YO big old tom was found in Mobile Alabama, not a kitten but not old, the 8 YO American medium hair was a kitten found by my daughter so we are pretty sure of that age, and the 5 YO Himalayan walked up on our porch a year or so ago and moved right in. Most of my cats hit 20 pretty easy, we are just in a 'young' cycle now.
