    That is very unique - I like how you have updated a traditional pattern by using the batik material. I love it.

    No the background is a peter pan fabric. it is a tan color with tiny tiny leaves on it. Which I also do not have enough of to make another border. Guess this one is not going to be able to go on my ned since I cannot find any more of the background fabric or the border Batik fabric. the blades of the plates were made with the jelly rolls I got from Debbie umphress here on the QB.
