    I had admired whole-cloth quilts before, but never really had an interest in doing them myself. This "Challenge" from my LA group has really made me expand my boundaries!! My greatest learning tool here was Lisa Calle's DVD's - "Mastering the Mini - Wholecloth, That Is" and "Divide and Design". She just made it seem so easy to do this. Mix that kind of wonderful teaching with old world architecture inspiration, and voila! You've made a whole cloth!!

    As to what will I do with them? Believe it or not, they are both SOLD! Yeah, both of them!!

    BTW, Lisa Calle's site is www.stonehousequilting.com - love her rulers too!!

    Uh, no. Like I said, these are TRULY my very first whole cloth attempts. I still have a lot to learn with this process.

    And one thing I have learned... this is ADDICTIVE!!

    Those are absolutely beautiful. You are fast becoming an artisan. I think I need to join a long arm group. It certainly wouldn't hurt my long arm skills and I can see where it would help me.

    Love the 2nd quilt with matching thread. It is a beautiful design. I am taking a wholecloth class this weekend with Karen McTavish and am so excited!!
