My belated Christmas pinwheel and carpenter's star quilt for my dad

Thank you everyone, I've never had so many replies!
I created the pattern myself just using Paint on my computer. It was made using a quilt as you go method. Each "big block" was 28" after I quilted it (the carpenter's star is one "big block") then I sashed them together. This was my first time trying quilt as you go with this method, I kind of liked it.
I was worried about giving it to to my dad because this year, for the first time ever, he decided not to give presents at Christmas for religious reasons. He didn't tell anyone until a week before Christmas, however, so by that point I was already 2 months into his quilt.
I decided to finish it for him anyway though, after being unsure for a while. I still haven't given it to him because my grandpa had a stroke the day I finished it and the family is currently dealing with that and what kind of rehabilitation he will need.
So anyway, when I do get to give him his quilt, I really hope he likes it. I put a lot of love into it, and to me, that's the point of giving gifts at Christmas. To show your love for your family and friends.
Thank you everyone again for all your kind replies.
