That is a clever design. Yes, I could get tired of doing a big one, like that, were all the blocks are the same, but you did a great job on it.
Speaks to the testament of us quilters, when we can persevere through on something that we don't particularly care for. It's all about love for the recipient, eh? :D

Not ugly, just different. I'm sure your mom loves it and she hugs 'you' as she goes to sleep. How cool is that?

I really like the tones of brown
that you used, to make your quilt.
But, I know my DH would be
delighted to have one just like it!!
    :D :D :D :D :D :D

Jenell, I normally don't care for browns alone, but dang this quilt is awesome. No uglies here, sorry! The 3D effect is mindboggling. The squares appear to float above those under it ( in a stack). I bet your mom loves it even if it isn't a log cabin.

Nothing ugly about this quilt....I think it is quite beautiful, you have given the quilt a lot of depth...sometimes that is very hard to achieve with some colours. Lucky Mom!

I like this! You did a good job. I like the rusts as it makes it more vibrant. I want to do one only use creams, tans and whites.
