    I love stories like that. My former MIL lost all of her grandmother's quilt to a tornado except for one that was badly damaged. I took it home and worked for hours mending it then carefully washing it. There were some puckers that couldn't be helped, some added fabric that was close in color, and some terrible stains that I faded to almost gone but the joy on her face to see just that one saved quilt seemed to melt away all that was not perfect any more. What a blessing quilts seem to be.

    Beautiful, beautiful quilt! You did a fantastic job on it. It is amazing that the quilt survived but am so very happy that it did. Loved your post & Thank You for sharing.
