When I printed a copy of the pattern cover from the computer, I realized that the 9 patch squares measured 1 inch sq. I made 1 1.2 inch strips of different fabrics sewn together, then cut them into strips and staggered them to make the stairs. I traced the cats from the print out on wonder under and ironed it on black fabric for the kitties. I punt when I make things.
