I wanted to learn PP so I thought I'd go with log cabins. Well fancy that I couldn't seem to wrap my head around how to do it. I mean I TRIED!!!!
My friend that FMQed my quilt for me got tired of me whining about not getting it. So she had me over to her house yesterday and she showed me (with me actually doing it).
OK, so I made one there and I was good with it. I went home, the words she spoke still echoing in my head. I proceeded to do everything she told me not to do. Grrrr. So I started another one and what do ya know! I did it all by myself!!! I made two after coming home yesterday and two more so far today. I didn't even have to rip anything out in the two today!!Woooo Hooo!!!!!!!!
So there's my story and I'm sticking to it.. ;)

Your block is very pretty and log cabins aren't that hard. I've made several regular log cabins and others in shapes. My avatar is a varied log cabin called, A Basket of Logs.

8 blocks done and this is one of many different patterns but thought it looked cool so far!!!

These are supposed to be scrappy as you can tell I cannot do scrappy it just doesn't fit into my vocab. I need pattern and not randomness but I will say I really like it so that is all that counts!

    8th block fell off :0)

I think its beautiful, but to those of you who find it difficult I found a web site that sells the fabric already printed with these blocks and you justfollow the pattern leaving the material as a backing, it worked great for me. Sometimes its difficult to remember the colours you are using so you can mark the material in the strips with the colours you need to use.
