Sunday night and I made my goal of getting the bedroom view panel done. Still have all the borders to do for both sides but think that will be easy compared to this. I did notice a few tiny errors once I stood back and looked at it but they are fixable so will get them done tomorrow. I need to take a close-up of the cat face as I defined the nose and mouth area a bit with a fine-line permanent marker. I learned that if one is using invisible thread, make sure that your bottom thread is the same color as the fabric you are sewing. Probably learned a lot more too...like don't ever do this again. LOL!!! I have pics of GD's room so things are based on those pics. Could not do every detail but she will get the gist of what I did. I even put her senior picture on the wall along with two others of her and friends. She has tons more pasted on wall but 3 was enough for me. Will keep you posted on progress on borders. Each side will be different but cat related. Here are latest additions to progress pics.

I have not forgotten about posting. It has just been slow as I have been creating cats! Still have eight more to make but then I can finish one side of the quilt and then on to the other side which will have a different border. So, in case any of you are still interested..here is my latest progress picture. :-)

I found several batik fabrics that looked like big cat coats . I used them in a quilt I am making with cats. Look for batik and you might find what you need.

It's adorable Sandy! Right down to the pleated curtain over the window! What a cool idea. Your GD is going to love it!

Hurray, I made my goal with one day to spare to have one side completed. I have given myself one more week to complete the second side's borders. It will be different from the first side. Here is one side..turned out much larger than I anticipated.

Sandy, this quilt is so fabulous! One of a kind. I wish I could be there to see her face when she opens it. Great job! Very creative!
