Mford, I have done the blocks separately and then into rows and then the rows together. No batting and will have a backing because I need the pocket to hang it. I have a fabric onto which I stitched the nice fabrics. It keeps it all nicely in place and the satins etc are stabilized, I have not thought about the stitch in the ditch yet, will decide when I get there.

Wow thank you so much for all the wonderful comments. I am still working daily and will post some more soon . I am not working as fast this summer because its too hot to have on my lap. So have to do some stitching in the mornings. Hope this inspires you to also take a journey even a small journey into the world of Crazy Quilting. I have learned a lot of interesting things along the way and also determination to follow this journey to the end. I dont make quilts for anybody but myself and my kids. This is a heirloom quilt and will be past on to my kids. My daughter just loves it and always helped when I was stuck esp with color. hehehe she is an artist (painting) so she has been a huge help. Will be posting the rows as they are completed. Once again Thank You All for the support.
