    Roben,

Very NICE!! I really like the over all design of this quilt. It's very clever. Then I had to laugh when I saw the actual print of sewing spools and buttons. Just too darn cute.

Thanks for sharing as it's such a lovely quilt - I just love looking at it. Also it inspires me to get busy with one of my own projects.

    Linda

Very nice pattern. The tan material gives it a nice antique look. That runner is going to look really nice on an antique chest. Are you going to be keeping the quilt also so that you have the set?? Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!

That is a quilt that really caught my eye. Nice job! Are you keeping it for yourself?

I do plan on keeping this one - its been on the wall so long now I've developed an attachment :-P The setting triangles and corner triangles all got put on yesterday, and the top is all sewn together. I'm off today to look for some different border and backing fabric. I auditioned the red button and the spools fabric, and both seem too much.

Darn, gotta go buy more fabric

I love your quilt. What pattern is it? That quilt would look really good in our bedroom. Our colors are tan, burgandy, and navy blue. So if you decide to get rid of it I can send you my addy. :D :D . I can't wait to see if finished. Thanks for sharing.

ccbear, it's the 9 Patch and Stripe pattern out of Eleanor Burns' Still Stripping After 25 Years book. To get the quilt design, I mixed positive and negative patches in the same quilt - by following the directions she gives, you actually cut and sew 2 quilts at the same time which I thought was awesome. I just mixed the blocks.

DH woke up this morning, looked at the design wall and commented again how much he likes this one - I don't think he'll let it go :-) I bought a green blender fabric for the borders and backing yesterday - the dark buttons fabric is listed as navy, but comes off as black so I couldn't find a blue that worked.
