My Daughter's Christmas Gift

Ii know you are much faster than I am, but how long did it take you to make that travel bag? Was it less than a yard of each fabric? I can't wait to get started. I've got great stash selections and some white flannel instead of the foam. I'm sure I'll have to buy some plastic and zippers.

As for fabric, the bag is 30" long, unfolded, so you only need 30" of fabric, really. I just used stuff I had in my stash. You need fabric that is not a one-way design, because it will end up upside down on one side of the bag when it's rolled up.
It took me two days to make the bag, but I didn't work on it all day. Most of one day, and then I finished up in 2-3 hours of the second day. If I made another one right now, it would go much faster. A lot of the time was spent reading and re-reading that pattern, to make sure I understood it right. I'm visual and work better from illustrations than words.
