Please Be Sure To Label The Quilt!! Quilts at camp or school tend to grow little legs and wander off. It would be heartbreaking after so much beautiful work to have the quilt disappear.
Maybe even mark the front of it somehow.
Put her name on it or something.

IMHO, I like the green-brown, enough to make a difference, but yet brings in the browns from the puppies. Its a more soothing combo for me.

What a great quilt for your daughter to take to college. My daughter is in her third year and she would have loved to have taken the family pets with her like that. She is green with envy. Your Honey is absolutely precious. What a gem.

Oh I like the brown border best. Then the blue second best.
Would love to see it again when its completed. I'm jelious.
I didn’t draw the dog freehand. First I cropped a picture of Honey’s face…. blew up the picture of her face….. printed it out on a 8 by 11 sheet of paper…. Layered a sheet of velum on top…. Brought it to the light box and traced an outline according to the different shades of color….. I then went into my Photoshop and printed another photo just showing 5 or 6 shades of color (not sure which filter that is). The whole process was lots of fun! Saw something like it on one of the sewing shows (Sewing with Nancy ????) a long time ago.

I’d do your Dobies any time!

What makes this quilt special for me is the Chocolate Lab in the center block. She was with us for 10 and half years….She was my daughters first dog….We were heartbroken when she passed away almost a year ago…..It is comforting for me to know “Chocolate” will be watching over my daughter when she is away.
