It's a darling block and your daughter did a fine job. It's important , as parents, to let our children win some small battles. She may be a designer as one other person suggested.
It's important to let her creativity flow. Thanks for sharing.

It is just breathtaking how a small child can be so decisive and completely unconcerned about what anyone thinks of their choices. I really admire that in children, and am jealous of it. It is sad how life robs us of that.

I like the block, and I am sure she will love it forever. You are so right to let her pick and go with what she thought- a child is never too young to be given the dignity of making a choice on something appropriate like that.

With your DD eye for color (pattern) and your genius for piecing; there is a creative team in the making. Two years old, WOW, how wonderful.

I like it a lot, especially the way you fussy cut the fairies so they are highlighted. For a 2 1/2 yr old your little quilter is showoing lots of talent!

I love that you let your daughter pick the fabic. I would not have picked them either but isn't wonderful how they worked together to make a beautiful block. It just goes to show that we all need to go beyond our boundaries/step out of our box. Your daughter has real talent.
